Banking & Capital Market Law team bolstered

Following almost three years in charge of the legal department of Credit Suisse, MMag. Dr. Martin Gaggl (39) returns to Fiebinger Polak Leon Attorneys-at-Law as Head of Banking & Capital Market Law.

Having graduated in law at the University of Vienna and gained experience at Wolf Theiss, Martin Gaggl spent 2001 to 2010 at Fiebinger Polak Leon Attorneys-at-Law – initially as an associate and later as a lawyer. He has now returned to the law firm following almost three years as head of the legal department and authorised officer at the Austrian branch of Credit Suisse (Luxembourg).

Martin Gaggl is a proven expert in the areas of banking & capital market law, compliance, cor-porate law, reorganisation law & restructuring and international transactions, as well as being the author of numerous publications concerning corporate law and banking & capital market law. Alongside his responsibilities for setting up and heading the legal department at Credit Suisse, Martin Gaggl was in charge of formulating contracts with the bank’s top customers (UHNWIs). As a lawyer at Fiebinger Polak Leon Attorneys-at-Law, Martin Gaggl most recently represented the former owners of Constantia Privatbank, Constantia Packaging BV, during their restructuring in Holland and Austria in connection with the ‘Immofinanz scandal’.
